Core Thematic Intervention Areas

Our holistic approach integrates economic empowerment, human rights protection, and peacebuilding.

Economic Empowerment & Gender Equality

Economic autonomy and gender justice sit at the centre of our mission. We support vulnerable women, girls, widows, persons with disabilities and displaced persons to build sustainable livelihoods and access financial services.

  • GBV survivor support: Referral networks connecting survivors to legal aid, healthcare, and psychosocial care.
  • Vocational training: Livelihood skills development for conflict-affected women, widows, and PWDs.
  • Income-Generating Activities (IGA): Savings/loan schemes and market linkages for women cooperatives.
  • Male engagement: Sensitization of male champions, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.

Peacebuilding, Security & Conflict Prevention

Operating in conflict-affected areas of Katsina, we implement structured grassroots peacebuilding interventions that tackle immediate violence triggers and underlying systemic drivers.

  • Community reconciliation: Dialogue forums facilitated by trained peace volunteers and traditional leaders.
  • Interfaith mediation: Active mediation involving Islamic scholars, Christian leaders, and youth organizations.
  • Institutional synergy: Collaboration with Katsina State Security Council and community protection committees.

Women, Peace & Security (WPS)

As an active member of the Katsina State WPS network, our programming is directly aligned with UNSCR 1325 and Nigeria’s Third National Action Plan (NAP III, 2025–2030).

  • Women Peace Committees: Established across LGAs for grassroots early warning and prevention.
  • Capacity Building: Conflict mediation training for women community leaders and advocates.
  • Conflict-Related GBV: Systematic documentation and referral response protocols.
